Everything else, especially breakfast. Oh, great.
One towel for two.

Comfortable, very clean, interior.
15 minutes before breakfast is over, the room is empty of shampoo and gel, not even soap.

Good view from terrace.
Too expensive internet! It costs 5 euro per hour...incredible price for this period.

The location was nice, very close to train station just a walk 5 minutes. Closed to the harbour, comfortable when you travelled with ship (Used Hamburg card just 8.9 Euro for travelling all transportation including ship, unlimited time for 24 hr). And closed to Fish market. Funny. Staffs are helpful and friendly. Pleantyful of foods but the breakfast start 7-9 am. I do not know (forgot to ask them) so the first day I missed the breakfast. Great to be there.

The value for money at Jugendherberge was excellent, with clean rooms and a great location near the harbor. The staff were friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check in early and enjoy our stay without any wait.
The morning meal could have been improved with more variety.

The location was perfect. Near the city center, the nightlife and not to far away from other tourist attractions (the harbor, the Alster lake etc.). Also the breakfast was pretty nice, considering it a youth hostel.
The price was way too much for sleeping in a room, sharing with 6 other people. I was there with a friend of mine and there were 4 bunk beds in the room (so we and 6 other people slept there). Costs were 20 euro per night per person. Normally I can get a decent twin bed room for 50 euro per night in most European cities, (so 25 euro per person). Maybe it was due the fact it was very busy in Hamburg at the time (21-23 May), but a youth hostel should not raise his prices then in my opinion! Also if you are not member of some kind of youth organisation, you have to pay 3.10 euro extra.

Very dood location, an amazing view to the Elb, very tasty breakfast, good prices
If you have no wi-fi and want to use hostel's computers - it's too expensive - 10 cent/min and computers is not convinient in use.

The location of this hostel is perfect, right in the middle of the city. It's just a short walk from attractions like St Pauli and Reeperbahn, and there are even tour ships departing right in front of the hostel. From the dining area/lounge, you can enjoy an amazing view, especially at night when the harbor lights up. the quad room I stayed in was very clean and well-kept, with sturdy furniture and roomy lockers.
The facilities in this hostel seem to have some issues, as the elevator was out of order for the whole week.

The location was great. The breakfast was pretty good as well for a ''youth hostel''. Funny thing was, at the time we (a friend and I) we there, there were mostly older people staying here. We were there on 21-23 May when there was a Marathon going on in Hamburg.
For a youth hostel, the price is a bit expensive. We had a single room the second night and then the price was ok. But we slept in a bunk bed instead of 2 normal single beds.

Perfectly located - 50m form S-Bahn station, with a wonderful view on the Hafen from the windows and the glass canteen. Stylish design of the interior.
Sometimes - not very friendly staff. Sometimes - the light in the WC didn't work and it was not very clean in the bath. And, yes, an obligation to pay EUR 3.10 per night for "Welcome Stamps" if you don't have a membership of the "Hostelling International" - I am not really sure of it was mention in the online booling procedure.

The hostel's location was unbeatable - close to the Port of Hamburg and train station. The common room was modern and spacious, with separate areas for dining and relaxation. The mattresses were incredibly comfortable, and I loved having a power plug by the bed. Additionally, the lockers were easy to use and perfect for larger groups. a clean and comfortable place to stay.
Cannot find any fault.

Beautiful hostel. Very good breakfast. Each bed has electrical point and reading light. Very close to main attractions and near a train and u-bahn station.
Expensive wifi. It is also more expensive from other hostels in Germany which offer similar good service or better service.

They should put more attention that this hotel is a member of "Hostelling international" community. We didnt notice that and that is why we shoud pay extra money in order to get a membership card and had an opportunity to stay in a hostel. This is a hostel for school children and sport teams mostly from germany...that is why it is really calm and discipline there. We cant say that the staff was really friendly to us, maybe coz we were not a sport team? ;)
